Sarah obtained her Healthcare Administration degree from Kent State University and began her career in a fast paced environment working as a contracted Practice Manager. After four years of juggling a multitude of specialty practices, traveling, participating in various committees, writing quarterly articles for Ohio Healthcare News, and helping in other areas of the company, she pivoted her career from Practice Management for private practices to working as a Senior Practice Manager for a large Internal Medicine practice that was part of a hospital system. While traveling decreased, the hours were still long and when she found out she was expecting her oldest daughter, Anya, in 2019, she decided to hang up her hat as a Practice Manager. Sarah became a stay-at-home mom so she could focus on her new and exciting adventure of motherhood and parenting. As with anything she does, she did thorough research on the development of children and how to foster their mental health. She welcomed another daughter, Maya, in 2022.

Anya’s preschool journey led her, and Sarah, to Tree City Preschool. Sarah loved how happy Anya was to go to school every day, seeing all the progress she was making with functional skills (writing her name, scissors skills, gluing, social skills, etc.), the creative art projects, and what a close bond she had created with her teachers. Sarah knew that Tree City Preschool was a truly special place so when Sarah was asked to join the Tree City Preschool staff, she jumped at the opportunity.

Sarah is passionate about children’s mental health and believes it is a fundamental building block to provide her students, and her own children, with a safe space to learn, develop and grow. She strives to provide students with ample learning and creative opportunities and to help each child develop a positive relationship with education.

When Sarah is not nurturing her children or students, you’ll likely find her nurturing her garden or plants. In addition to being an ardent gardener, she enjoys exploring new walking paths with her children and husband, taking their annual trip to Hilton Head Island, and spending quality time with her family.
